After the Ironman World Championship in Nice, there's the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona to look forward to.

Ingolf Zschockelt finished die Ironman World Championship zum dritten Mal erfolgreich

Last Sunday, the triathlon world experienced a sensational event in Nice: The Ironman World Championship 2025 offered exciting competitions and a thrilling professional race against the backdrop of the picturesque French Mediterranean coast. A surprising Norwegian triple victory crowned the day, as Casper Stornes won the race in his debut with a total time of 7:51:39 hours. He relegated his compatriots Gustav Iden (7:54:13) and Kristian Blummenfelt (7:56:36) to second and third place. Stornes impressed above all with a strong swimming and running performance, which secured him the title. The race was characterized by high intensity, and the competition showed an impressive performance on the demanding cycling course and the marathon. German top athletes such as Jonas Schomburg, who finished sixth, and Jonas Hoffmann, who finished 18th overall, also demonstrated strong form and provided exciting moments.

But now, attention turns to the next big stage: the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, is approaching. This year, the event will not only be traditionally spectacular, but also particularly exciting, as a women's-only world championship will be held for the first time. Kailua-Kona is considered the birthplace of the Ironman triathlon and attracts the world's best athletes and a passionate community from all over the world every year. The anticipation for the coming days is enormous – the sheer challenge of the course, the unique flair of the island, and the legendary Aloha spirit make the world championship an unparalleled experience. Fans expect high-profile starts and an atmosphere that inspires both athletes and spectators alike. For women, it is a special step towards greater visibility and equality in sports, which makes the event even more unique.

After the spectacular season highlight in Nice, history will be made again in Kona – a must-attend event for every triathlon fan and an invitation to experience the major sporting event up close. The fascination of Ironman lives on, the tension rises: after the World Championship in Nice, there's the World Championship in Kailua-Kona.

We are, of course, looking forward to the race of Jana Uderstadt, our professional triathlete from SportBrennstoff, with particular excitement.

I myself have already been able to reach the finish line of the Ironman World Championships live three times. Each participation was a special experience and the culmination of a successful, sporting year.
