We have decided not to produce gel sachets at the moment. Each gel sachet (portion pack) creates a lot of waste, as this packaging is currently made of plastic or metal foil. For a long-distance triathlon, with a time of 5 hours on the bike and 3.5 hours running, you would use around 17 to 20 gel packs containing 40g of carbohydrates each. We think that with a little effort, you can solve this problem yourself much more easily.
Instructions WETTKAMPF GEL:
With our WETTKAMPF powder you can easily make your own gel.
For each serving (93g) of powder, add 40ml of water to a pot and heat the mixture until it becomes a clear liquid. Nothing happens to the product when it is heated. The properties remain the same as when the powder is dissolved, as we do not use any substances that can be damaged when heated. This produces around 133g of gel for use per hour. This is ideal for supplying yourself over longer distances. Higher amounts of carbohydrates per hour require training!
You can then take the gel with you on the cycling section in either the bike bottle or in reusable soft flasks (foldable 250ml drinking bottles) or other suitable drinking bottles for the running section. This saves a lot of waste and in the end it is always the usual WETTKAMPF product that you have trained with.

Please make sure that you use the gel promptly. You can store the gel in the fridge for several days without any problems. However, it is really intended to be used quickly. There are no preservatives in it...
