Anti Doping Informationen

The anti-doping work of WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) and NADA (National Anti-Doping Agency Germany) is based on clear principles to ensure fairness and integrity in sport. Both organizations aim to combat the misuse of performance-enhancing substances and ensure equal opportunities for all athletes.

WADA:

WADA was founded in 1999 and sets globally valid standards in the fight against doping. The core of the code is the WADA Code, which sets out internationally uniform rules for doping controls and sanctions. The main principles include:

  1. Prevention: Educating and informing athletes about the risks of doping.
  2. Controls: Regular, unannounced tests during competition and training.
  3. Sanctions: Strict penalties for violations to act as a deterrent.
  4. Fairness: Equal rules and conditions for athletes worldwide.

NADA:

The NADA implements these principles in Germany. It organizes doping controls, promotes prevention and supports research to combat doping. Its main objectives are:

  1. Testing programs: Conducting urine and blood tests on German athletes.
  2. Prevention work: training and information for athletes, coaches and support staff.
  3. Legal proceedings: Consistent prosecution and punishment of doping violations.

Together, WADA and NADA ensure that clean athletes are protected and violations are consistently prosecuted in order to preserve the integrity of the sport.

We support the work and commitment of WADA and NADA and expressly advocate for fair and clean sport.
